Presnt (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our voice-powered AI presentation platform at presnt.app (the “Service”). By using Presnt, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We do not store passwords in plain text. Your email is used to authenticate you and send important service-related communications.

Presentation Content

When you upload decks or create slides inside Presnt, that content (including slide text, images, PDFs, and PPTX files) is stored in our database to power the Service. This content is associated with your account and is not shared with other users.

Voice Data

Presnt processes voice commands in real time through your browser's microphone API. Audio is processed locally in your browser using the Web Speech API and is not transmitted to or stored on Presnt servers. We never record, retain, or sell your voice audio.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, features used, and error logs. This helps us understand how the Service is used and where to improve. This data cannot identify you personally.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and preference cookies to remember your settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Service may not function correctly as a result.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • To authenticate you and secure your account
  • To process and display your presentation content
  • To improve AI slide-matching accuracy and voice navigation features using aggregated, anonymized data
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
  • To respond to support requests and inquiries
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

We do not use your personal data for targeted advertising and we do not build advertising profiles based on your usage.

3. Third-Party Services

Supabase

We use Supabase for database storage and user authentication. Your account data and presentation content are stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure hosted on AWS. Supabase processes data under its own privacy policy and is GDPR-compliant. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Vercel

Our application is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process request metadata (IP addresses, timestamps) as part of serving the application. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.

No Data Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party, ever. We only share data with subprocessors that are necessary to deliver the Service, and only under appropriate data processing agreements.

4. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction: You can update your account information at any time from your account settings.
  • Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@presnt.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
  • Export: You can export your presentation content at any time from within the app.
  • Objection: You can object to certain processing activities. Contact us to exercise this right.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have rights under CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@presnt.app.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and presentation content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and restricted access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your Presnt account.

7. Children's Privacy

Presnt is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately at support@presnt.app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
